This year's Day of the Dead Fiesta was extra special! Not only is Mucho's 1 year anniversary quickly approaching on Black Friday, but my parents, Rey and Julie, came in from TX to celebrate with us along with Gina, my sister, and Josh, her fiance as of Halloween! :)
We got to the party right on time at 7 which was probably a little early. We were able to take in all the beautiful decorations at the venue and sign up to get our faces painted pretty quickly. Their theme is black and white attire. I was originally planning on not buying anything new but you know how that goes. I found a beautiful dress at a vintage store for only $35 bucks and then velvet platforms were needed and then the awesome embroidered jacket because this year it was very cold. I carried a Mucho wallet with a pom-pom tassel attached for some extra color.
There were performances and music all night long. They served BBQ nachos (my fave!), beef soft tacos, delicious cookies from Cielito Mio, and some signature cocktails. As you can see we had a blast in the Photobooth! It was fun getting all dressed up with my family and enjoying time together celebrating life and achievements. I would like to make this event a sort of holiday party tradition for Mucho!
