Mexican Baja Styled Two Ways For Fall

Mexican bajas have been around for a while and are a classic staple for fall and winter. The 90s usually come to mind when I think about bajas, like Luke Perry from 90210. I do mostly love getting dressed up but in reality, I work from home. If I'm not shooting new clothes and outfit looks I don't get dressed during the week. I hang out in workout clothes consisting of leggings and no makeup. So these two Baja looks are a good upgrade from my work from home uniform while still being comfy and cozy while I work. Also, these...

Latino Memphis Day Of The Dead Fiesta

If you haven't heard of or been to this party check out last year's post here. This year's Day of the Dead Fiesta was extra special! Not only is Mucho's 1 year anniversary quickly approaching on Black Friday, but my parents, Rey and Julie, came in from TX to celebrate with us along with Gina, my sister, and Josh, her fiance as of Halloween! :)  We got to the party right on time at 7 which was probably a little early. We were able to take in all the beautiful decorations at the venue and sign up to get our...

Styling La Diablita Loteria Graphic Tee

This outfit is fun for any casual night out or if you wanna be festive for Halloween without getting all dressed up in a costume. We shot this look before we went out last Friday evening. It was Friday the 13th, so I thought it was appropriate. We went to a Memphis project called MEMFix. It's where they rethink vacant neighborhoods in town and try to encourage businesses to buy or lease in the area by having popups with vendors like food trucks, handmade goods, non-profits, and music. We went to check it out since it was in Midtown but to also...

DIY Selena Quintanilla Halloween Costume

For those ladies out there that like to use Halloween as an excuse to show a little more skin. Keep reading this DIY Selena Quintanilla costume is for you! I'm not going to lie this costume was out of my comfort zone. I am a little less BIDI and a lot more BOM. I'm pretty modest and usually don't show too much skin out in public, but this costume was just too good not to do. There's something about a costume that gives you a boost of confidence to add an extra pep in your step. It helps that my photographer is...

Day Of The Dead Festival & Frida Kahlo Look-Alike Contest

I was so happy to hear that the Brooks Museum was hosting a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) parade & festival. I knew that it would make for a great way to kick off the season! Even more exciting was that they were going to have a Frida Kahlo look-alike contest. So yeah another fun fact, I'm pretty competitive. I was already planning on doing a Frida costume for the blog so I thought I might as well join in on the fun! For those of you that are not familiar with Day of the Dead, it follows Halloween. It's...
